Production Supervisor – Afternoon Shift

What you will do…

  • Manage work in progress and maintain shop production schedule.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and safely, meeting established deadlines.
  • Ensure that employees working on specific machinery have the necessary training/machine overview to safely
  • operate the equipment.
  • Assist in shop scheduling considering the most efficient means of workflow through the shop.
  • First Aid Trained CPRC, Basics of supervisor training, JHSC Trained, be familiar with the site health and safety policy.
  • Be a member of the JHSC for SAAM.
  • Lock up the shop at the end of the shift.
  • Motivate others in the shop to take pride in the product we fabricate and to maximize efficiency.
  • Advise forklift operator on the current days schedule, and review required materials for the shifts’ production.
  • Ensure that operators are fully aware of the task at hand, and are using the right materials (material thickness/color/etc.)
  • Ensure all operators are following their respective jobs descriptions, Quality Control is of highest importance.
  • Oversee the shipping end of the shop. Including review of packing slips and the orders.
  • Operators need to be responsible for filling out their completed tasks (signed with a date)
  •  Ensure that the orders are being shipped complete.
  • Assist in machine setup, maintenance, troubleshooting.
  • Keep the raw materials inventory in the shop in order. Be involved in the inventory management.
  • Coach individuals as required.
  • Communication skills, managerial skills are required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing plant is preferred.



  • Experienced supervising 10+ employee’s
  • Working knowledge of metal panels in a manufacturing environment
  • Able to work Monday – Thursday 3pm – 12:30am, and Friday 3 – 11:30pm
