We are currently partnered with a rapidly growing company in the Construction and Manufacturing industry sector, that specializes in commercial window and railing systems. They are currently looking for an ambitious Project Coordinator to join their engineering team.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to Engineering Manager on all matter regarding the projects. Coordinator will work closely with the PM. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Prepare the binder for the new project;
  • Prepare and send out the start-up checklist;
  • Order print out of Tender set and drawings if necessary;
  • Download all drawings required to start the shop drawing;
  • Order samples to suppliers and coordinate/follow up;
  • Make transmittal and submit samples to contractor for approval;
  • Create and update approved sample list;
  • Attend a Scope of Work meeting with EM, PM and Estimator to discuss if something isnot clear with the project;
  • Send shop drawing and other documents to engineer for review/stamp;
  • Download all RFI, SI and drawings as required and advise PM;
  • Update SI log and advise PM for extras;
  • Send stamped shop drawing to contractor;
  • Prepare LEED forms as required;
  • Print sets of latest/marked-up shopdrawing for Take off;
  • Print sets of latest/marked-up shopdrawing for Breakdown;
  • Print sets of latest/marked-up shop drawing for installers at Kick-off meeting;
  • Prepare the area report for installer’s contract, if required;
  • Prepare the parts quantity report for installer’s contract and update as projectprogresses; Help with parts releases if required;
  • Update Outstanding CCOs;
  • Send a monthly CCO follow up email to contractor;
  • Update the installer/FMs info;
  • Represent Company, as requested, in business with customers, consultants, contractors,and suppliers

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work may involve some exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odours, and loud noises.
  • On-site work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks that require knowledge of and adherence to basic safety procedures and precautions.
  • Work environment requires having construction safety footwear and hard hat for all site work and in certain other locations.
