As Project Manager, you will manage our projects to ensure that we operate efficiently and that we achieve our installation goals. You will be responsible for overseeing all project organization and installations in Ontario. The scope of your authority will extend to key areas such as project planning and management, expenses and budget, execution of contracts on a budget, customer relationships and satisfaction, and quality inspection as well as a supporting role for the Project Coordinators.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • All project planning, organization, management and installations in Ontario and Western Canada;
  • Ensure profitability for each project
  • to ensure installations are delivered on time, within budget while maintaining consistent levels of Quality
  • Source and develop additional Sub-Contractors where capacity dictates
  • Communicates with Sales Staff on project status
  • Maintains detailed Project Files using Maestro system and submit timely reports
  • Reviews contract drawings and specifications to ensure quotations are in accordance with such documents
  • Prepares Shipping Lists and place material orders with Head Office
  • Maintains and revises CAD drawings for Squash Court business
  • Performs Site visits prior to installation and evaluates site conditions are to spec
  • Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships while always putting priority on customer relationships and satisfaction
  • Make sure we deliver the best possible quality products within expected deadlines;
  • Maintains Budget vs. Actual Project Tracking through Maestro System and evaluates areas requiring improvement for both cost and efficiency
  • Performs Warehouse duties as required and employs temporary outside help, if justified
  • Ensures timely issuance of required Close Out documentation helping to expedite final payments from G.C.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Strong leadership; Resilience; Ability to act in a decisive manner, using good judgment
  • Ability to work with a team; A minimum of 7-10 years of operations management experience
  • Experience and background in flooring or construction industries is an asset
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and follow up skills
  • Ability to effectively plan and execute projects Effective time management skills
  • Ability to delegate; Organizational skills; Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Ability to transact in an environment of stress and tension at repetitive times
  • Ability to build and develop effective relationships with clients and suppliers
  • Experience with budget and cost analysis; Computer skills – Word, Excel
