Senior Project Manager -High Rise Residential

Are you interested in a company that has consistently developed high rise luxury residential condominiums with an emphasis on detail, inspired living spaces and amenities across the GTA? To continue expansion into new markets, this developer is actively searching for a Senior Project Manager with considerable construction knowledge to add leadership and oversite to an already robust team.

 

Responsibilities

* Manage all administrative activities through direct involvement in daily operations including strategic planning of construction projects and preparation of construction schedules

* Develop, interpret, analyze and forecast project budgets and determine the status of the projects in terms of scheduling, scope, budget and quality

* Provide planning, leadership, direction and technical expertise to manage complex tasks and multiple projects

* Ensure construction occurs according to schedule and within budgetary guidelines without sacrificing quality

* Work closely with project team members and other stakeholders to identify, develop, implement, and support cost-effective project delivery.

* Coordinate, manage and communicate with contractors and consultants and effectively deal with problems such as delivery, labor, scheduling, land negotiations, utility approvals and payment disputes

* Provide engineering/design/survey support for various projects

* Maintains accurate and timely records and reports

* Plan and coordinate project meetings as required

* Chair regular update meetings with the VP of Construction

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to meet the following criteria:

 

Qualifications and Experience

* At least 7 years of experience in the planning and construction of high rise residential projects

* Substantial project management experience overseeing multiple construction and infrastructure projects is considered an asset

* Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee and contractor performance

* Attention to detail

* Demonstrated leadership capability

* Excellent organizational skills

* Familiarity with administering contracts and consultant contracts and related duties including letter writing

* Ability to understand surveying information and to read plans

* Familiar with construction standards

* Ensures public safety and security

* Self-starter with field experience
