SR Bilingual Human Resources Generalist

The key responsibilities of the Sr Human Resources Generalist are:

  • provide advanced HR support in order to deliver comprehensive HR solutions to the Canadian teammates
  • acts with independence under broadly defined program guidelines
  • Serves as the HR interface to the business client
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Manages projects impacting wider audience (region/Canada wide solutions) and/or services delivered by service providers/vendors (example: development of employee portals, e-learning modules, etc)
  • Investigates employee/ labour issues and makes determinations on corrective actions
  • Provides input to centers of excellence in design and development of new policies/programs and contributes in the design/development of teammate communication materials to incorporate Canada (& ensure compliance to legislation)
  • Delivers comprehensive HR support to various business groups based out of the Mississauga office.   In addition to recruitment and talent management programs, delivers training on specialized skill/competency development programs and supports business leaders with longer-term talent issues (ie.  career and succession management, performance improvement/development plans)
  • Acts as a trusted business advisor to understand issues/concerns of managers and provides structured support for managing talent and performance issues
  • Works closely with senior management to develop and implement Canada HR policies
  • Resolve customer concerns and deliver a high level of customer service.



A successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor degree from an accredited university (Human Resources Management or related field).
  • 5-7 years of progressively responsible HR related experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR programs, policies and practices in Canada
  • Thorough knowledge of HRIS systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of provincial employment regulations relating to HR
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Bi-lingual (English & French)
  • Ability to adapt and be agile in an ever-changing work environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Team-player
  • Ability to display professional conduct and communicate effectively at all organization levels, both internally and externally
  • Strong negotiation, prioritization, organization skills
