Our client located in the North York is seeking a highly motivated individual to join their team. With the technical skills to back it, the ability of being able to provide technical advice to non-technical people.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Working under the direction of the Manager, you will act as the first point of contact for customers to receive technology support;
  • Respond quickly and professionally to requests received through the IT ticketing system;
  • Collaborate with clients and technology staff to identify and troubleshoot PC and IP telephony related issues;
  • Participate in the installation and maintenance of all PC hardware, software, and other related equipment;
  • Perform onsite and remote tech support troubleshooting of hardware, software and networking issues for various clients;
  • Perform Level 1 tech support fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and application;
  • Maintain a knowledge repository to capture resolution efforts.

Experience: 

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in Managed Service Provider (IT firm);
  • Experience using common IT Service Desk tools (e.g. Service Now, Remedy);
  • In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and Windows 7/10 operating systems;
  • Knowledge of basic networking troubleshooting concepts;
  • Understanding and experience isolating hardware issues and coordinating replacements;
  • Experience utilizing desktop imaging tools and techniques
  • Knowledge of mobile devices, management tools and techniques;
  • Knowledge of ITIL principles
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Gmail
  • Experience with troubleshooting and supporting mobile devices iPhone, iPad, Android and Blackberry
  • Experience with Remote Control Software
  • Knowledge of networking hardware including Cisco, SonicWALL, routers, NG firewalls, switches and VPN appliances
  • Knowledge of VoIP including FreePBX, Asterisk, Cisco UC, etc.
