Tier 2 Support Technician (Managed Services Experienced)

PMC is proudly partnered with leading IT consulting firm in North York is currently seeking experienced Level 2 Support Technician who has experience working in a Managed Service Provider.

This position includes significant opportunity to develop professional skills providing independent support and outstanding customer services.

Responsibilities and requirements:

  • Providing excellent customer service for multiple organizations and resolving their support requests;
  • Performing technical support and system administration for infrastructure/ hardware/desktop/application issues both on-site and remote;
  • Plan, test, deploy and communicate new software releases and patches;
  • Assist level 1 technicians with any tech support issues requiring assistance;
  • At least 5 years of experience in technical support role with Managed Service Providers;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail;
  • 5+ years demonstrating strong technical skills in supporting Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office, desktop applications;
  • 5+ years of experience migration and administration of Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange and O365;
  • Knowledge of networking, cabling, switching, NICs, firewalls, SonicWall;
  • Hands on experience of administrating Active Directory;
  • Familiarity with Virtualization management tasks, such as creating and managing VMs, Hyper-V
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science / Information Technology
  • Certifications in Microsoft, Cisco and CompTIA would be considered a big asset
